RAGGING TAMILNADU GOVERNMENT: “Ragging means display of noisy,
disorderly conduct doing any act which causes or is likely to cause physical or
psychological harm or raise apprehension or fear or shame or embarrassment to a
student in any educational institution.” The Government of tamilnadu
has banned ragging in educational institutions by passing a GOVERNMET ORDER of
section 7 of 1997 ”TAMILNADU PROHIBITION OF RAGGING ACT 1997” dated 14-02-1997,
Which says indulging in ragging will be punished as follows; Imprisonment upto a term of two years and fine upto
Rs.10,000. Further a student convicted for ragging will be dismissed from the
institution and shall not be admitted to any other institution. Hence the
students are advised not to indulge in ragging. The supreme court has banned
”RAGGING” under Article 32 and Article 142 of the constitution on account to
have crossed the limits of denceny,morality and
humanity.

Scholarships for students of backward classes,most
backward classes andde-notified communities are
awarded to those students,whose parents/guardians
income is below Rs.,50,000/- per annum.This
scholarship is awarded by the District Backward Classes and minorities welfare
officer,Nagapattinam.75% of attendance is must.The
student should not have any arrears.

Government of India Post Matric Scholarship to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe
Students.
This
scholarship is awarded to those students whose parents/guardians annual inncome is less than Rs.65,290/- per annum.This
scholarship is awarded by the District Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Officer,Nagapattinam.75% of
attendance is must.The student should not have any arrears.

aims at improving the overall development of the student as a professional engineer.The committee strives to help students identify
their skills and to hone them as required by the industry.The
committee imparts the students to improve their attitude, communication skills,being positive,values

ethics,etiquette and manners,interview

The Academic Calendar committee designs
the Academic Calendar at the start of every Academic Year. The same will be
printed and distributed to the Students and Staff members.

2. Time Table Preparation
The Time Table preparation committee
prepares the Master Time Table for every department. It also prepares
individual time table of the Staffs, Library time tables, Lab time tables,
Internet time tables,etc.,

3. Daily Test Report Collection
To
evaluate the performance of the students regular Daily test are conducted.
Students must take serious note of this and write the test with utmost care.
The statement of marks will be sent to the parents. If the performance is not
up to the mark, parents are advised to meet the Head of the Department
immediately after the receipt of the Statement of Marks from the college.

4. Parents Preceptor Cell
It identifies students who are poor in academic or
attendance and communicate their parents. It conducts parents meeting after the
university result declaration and whenever require at least once in a semester.
